Our year 5 & 6 girls football team have had an exciting journey this season to get to the league cup final, which was played after school at East Norfolk Sixth Form College Gorleston against Woodlands.
Both teams played some outstanding football, with us going 2-0 down, however North Denes dug in and brought the game back to 2-2 with goals from Lily & Fran. In the last 10 minutes Woodlands scored 2 more goals to make them cup winners. The game could have gone either way with both teams missing chances at goal. The whole team played their hearts out with some great passing and goal keeping, on what was a very warm afternoon and never giving up until the final whistle.
The girls displayed fantastic determination, passion, respect and sportsmanship.
