On Friday 6th July, North Denes Choir and Dancers performed at the Britannia Pier for the annual Great Yarmouth schools’ showcase. This year the theme was ‘West End to East Coast!’ and we chose the musical Hairspray! as our inspiration. The dancers performed brilliantly to ‘You can’t stop the beat,’ incorporating flips and splits into an energetic and fun filled dance. They had a great time and looked amazing in their floral outfits, cool shirts and fabulous high pony tails. The choir chose to perform ‘Good Morning Baltimore’, they had been working for months to learn the tricky rhythms and lyrics. They sang wonderfully together and supported each other throughout the day. We had two soloists, both from year 4, Jack Bristo and Daisy Self. They were both very nervous before the performance but did the school and themselves proud, performing with confidence and sass. All staff involved were exceptionally proud of their behaviour, they really showed our school values and were polite to other adults. Well done North Denes Performers!
